US-Reisehinweis — Burma - Level 4: Do Not Travel

Armed conflict and civil unrest are ongoing across Myanmar, affecting large areas of the country including Kyauk Su and surrounding regions within approximately 600 km. Multiple regions including Chin, Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Sagaing, Magway, Shan, and Tanintharyi, as well as Mandalay city, are subject to heightened restrictions due to active security threats.

If you are currently on site, you face significant risks to your safety and security. Travel within and between affected areas is extremely dangerous. You should not travel to these regions unless absolutely essential, and should consider your immediate departure options if you are already present.

Follow all instructions from local authorities and your embassy or consulate. Avoid all non-essential movement, stay informed through official channels, and maintain contact with your government's diplomatic mission. Register with your embassy if you have not already done so. For health concerns, consult local health authorities.
