Éruption — Bulusan

Bulusan volcano in the Philippines is experiencing increased seismic activity, with 109 volcanic earthquakes recorded on 28 July. Weak-to-moderate gas emissions are rising from the summit crater and active vents, with low sulfur dioxide levels averaging 50 tonnes per day as of 21 July. The volcano remains at Alert Level 1, the second lowest on the official scale.

If you are within the affected area, be aware that volcanic activity can change rapidly. The official Permanent Danger Zone extends 4 kilometres from the volcano and should not be entered. Monitor local news and official announcements from Philippine authorities for any updates to alert levels or evacuation orders.
