A magnitude 6.7 earthquake occurred approximately 31 km northwest of Aniso in central Peru on August 20, 2026, at 18:00 UTC. The epicenter was at a depth of 99 km, and the affected area extends roughly 200 km around the epicenter, including Coracora. Seventy-four felt reports have been recorded.
